Description:
A limited annual release from Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima, this single malt Japanese whisky is bottled at cask strength and produced from a combination of peated and unpeated malt distilled in 2018–2019. The whisky is matured for approximately 4–5 years in a mix of casks including ex-bourbon barrels, re-charred American oak shochu casks previously used for Mellowed Kozuru, and sherry casks. Non-chill filtered and without added coloring, the 2023 Limited Edition highlights a smoky yet balanced profile with layered sweetness, citrus, and spice, showcasing the distillery’s innovative maturation approach and evolving house style.
