Lapostolle, Cuvee Alexandre Cabernet Sauvignon - The blackcurrants and violets are impressive on the nose with hints of slate. Full-bodied, yet always refined and in check. Linear and tight. Black olives and blue fruit at the finish.
Singlefile, Frankland River Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon - From the highly regarded Riversdale Vineyard planted in '97 on gravel and clay soils. The tannins are obvious, but the wine will flourish in bottle for decades.
